HiProfile Combi 15 Options

Square Bays and 45° Splay Bays

We can factory-assemble square bays to special order using any Hi-Profile Combi 1.5 window. Return ends are generally 600mm wide.

Alternative sills – Softwood and Hardwood

We supply these windows with a standard 83mm flush nominal sill. If you need an alternative, you can order these special sizes:

  • 124mm sill
  • 149mm sill
  • 174mm extended sill*
  • 201mm extended sill*

All dimensions are nominal.

*Extended sill nosings can be vulnerable to damage and long-term erosion. If they are not adequately maintained, this could lead to premature failure of the decoration system. Please be sure to specify the correct sill width to suit the brickwork detail, and to comply with Building Regulations Approved Document ‘L’.

Factory Glazing – STRONGLY RECOMMENDED

To ensure quality and reliability, we carry out our glazing in controlled factory conditions. We follow strictly the correct glazing practices: BS 6262: 1982 (including a 5mm clearance between the edge of the glass unit and the rebate), as well as GGF and NHBC recommendations.

We supply JELD-WEN Hi-Profile Combi 1.5 timber windows with 24mm clear soft-coat Low E argon filled insulating glass units and a warm-edge technology spacer bar. A centre pane U-Value of 1.2W/m2K achieves a whole window thermal transmittance of 1.5W/m2K. Low E glass (low emissivity) has a surface coating that improves substantially its energy efficiency. This coating lets the sun’s rays through and reflects heat back into the room.

Other Glazing Options

We offer a wide range of glazing choices, including obscure and leaded. If you need obscure glazing, we supply ‘ice effect’ as standard – or you could specify one of our other designs.

Factory Finishing - STRONGLY RECOMMENDED

We supply our Hi-Profile Combi 1.5 windows basecoat stained as standard or primed as an option.

For best overall quality, we strongly recommend factory finishing with Hi-Build stain or Hi-Build paint.

We recommend you use the JELD-WEN cavity closer system when installing factoryfinished windows.

Secured by Design

Secured by Design (SBD) is the official Police initiative for ‘designing out crime’. Our SBD windows provide enhanced security, to meet the requirements of BS 7950: 1997 for security performance of casement windows in domestic applications. All our windows with the SBD option include shoot-bolt espagnolette locking. To order this option, insert ‘FG’ into the product code – for example, LEC0607AR would become LECFG0607AR.

Ventilators

We supply all Hi-Profile Combi 1.5 windows with flush-fitting ventilators as standard – in white or brown. They provide a 4000mm2 free area on frames up to 900mm wide, and a 8000mm2 free area on frames 900mm and above. A 'no vent' option is also available.
