Casement Windows General Information

Quality wooden windows form the JELD-WEN Sovereign Stormsure range of Casement Windows gives you a choice of two types of timber:

• softwood, protected with an advanced preservative system
• selected quality hardwood

U-Values shown are for factory-glazed Low E products only.

The sizes of wooden windows shown here are co-ordinating sizes Ref: BS 644. The actual sizes of the frames are 5mm less in height and width. This is not an installation clearance.

Casement windows above 630mm wide x 900mm high and fitted with butt hinges can be used as Fire Egress windows.

Important

If sill size, finish, ventilator colour and ironmongery colour is not specified, the windows will be supplied with a standard 158mm nominal sill, basecoat stained with brown ventilator(s), gold effect ironmongery, beige weatherstrip and butt hinges.

Ventilators

We supply all Sovereign Stormsure windows with flush-fitting ventilators as standard – in white or brown.

Weatherstrip

A beige weathership is fitted as standard, with white or brown colour options available.

Made to order – non-standard and special sizes
We offer a made-to-measure service for Sovereign Stormsure windows. Special bar configurations and unusual replacement sizes are available to order. Please call us for details.
